Ball's Pyramid Seabird Cruise
For the best seabirding at Lord Howe Island take the 3.5 hour cruise with Ian and Jack Shick on the fast boat Noctiluca.
Cruise at 20 knots on this Seatamer 8 metre vessel with its 200HP Volvo inboard motor.
We take berley and stop at various locations to attract the seabirds of the island, and with just 8 passengers you get the best seabird experience.
Ball's Pyramid is the only Australian breeding location for the Kermadec Petrel, plus the trip is the only guaranteed way to see White-bellied Storm Petrel. In autumn, winter and spring we also usually see various albatross species, Cape petrel and Great Northern Petrel, plus other rarities.

For this trip it is best to register your interest at the Visitor Centre as soon as you arrive and if the weather comes good we can contact you for this 2 hour trip.
